Pretending to be another person for the cryptocurrency sales and promotion is not new in this crypto world.
Bitmain, a crypto mining hardware manufacturer, is accused of a crypto product “Bitmain Cloud Miner” for stealing its name for promotional purpose. The authority behind Bitmain cloud Miner was trying to pretend as Bitmain to promote their products the miner and a token called Mangocoin.
Bitmain has requested its customers to check the correct services provided by Bitmain while purchasing any of their products online or during login due to these misleading promotions, illegal fraud raising, and harmful activities on the internet.
Financial Conduct Authority of the United Kingdom also has problems with these impersonate criminals, who regulate to promote crypto assets. A scam email was sent claiming to be from Financial Conduct Authority, the United Kingdom entitled “Guarantee chance to win” with the United Kingdom Financial Conduct logo and brand. Financial Conduct Authority refuses to have any connections with this scam email. The email was particularly linked to the fraud origination.
